Editors Needed!

Signup Now!

I am currently recruiting members that are willing to act as content editors for this site. I cannot afford to pay anyone at this time, but editors get free access to images which have not yet met my approval requirements. I track who accepts or rejects which images, so at a later date if I begin paying it will probably be based on some kind of a "piece-work" schedule, ie. number of images reviewed.

Editor Requirements

Okay, first off, I hate the way our current legal system has been perverted by lawyers and worthless people who want to live out of MY pocketbook. But, all that aside, a friend of mine (that is a lawyer, but I think he is one of the good guys), has told me that I can't just go accepting a bunch of complete strangers as editors for my site. The problem is that the person applying might be a minor or from a country where nudity, hate images, etc are against the law. If this happens and I give access as an editor to the un-filtered content (which contains all the bad things I mentioned above depending on the day), I open my self to being sued by the person or their parents/government/whatever. So, people that wish to be editors must be "age-verified" and agree to some legal mumbo-jumbo. The only way that is currently mostly acceptable for doing age verification is to require a credit-card transaction. This is because a credit card cannot be issued legally to minors. So, in order to be a site editor, you first need to be a normal member of the site.

Non-Members
To become an editor, follow this link and join the website as a new member.

After you have joined the site, follow this link, fill in your email address, click the check box to accept the legal mumbo-jumbo and submit the information to me. After your membership through iBill has been approved, I will set you up as a site editor, and so long as you are actively editor-ing, your account will remain active.

Members
If you are a current member that is paying with a credit-card, and you would like to become an editor, follow this link, fill in your email address, accept the legal mumbo-jumbo, click the box that says you are a current member and I will convert your account from a member to an editor. After you have received a confirmation email from me about your editor account, make sure you disable the monthly payments from iBill so you won't continue to be billed every month.

Rules

This site has two different areas, the first is intended to be a G/PG version which anyone can visit and find images they are interested in without being subjected to the adult/less desirable content on the net. The second area allows access to all content on the site, including content which has not yet been filtered out by the site editors.
Editors for this site are expected to uphold the standards that I have established when they are making their decisions:
  1. Ignore, Accept, Adult, Reject or Delete - These are the options that all editors have for any given binary file.
    1. Ignore - This option means that the editor isn't sure how to handle the image. It is the default setting for ALL images on the site. If you have no opinion about a binary or can't decide, leave the option set to ignore and someone else will hopefully take care of it later.
    2. Accept - I use a two-vote system for accepting files. If 2 separate editors accept a file, it is included in the site for all members to view.
    3. Adult - This is a single vote accept which accepts a binary and tags it as an adult image. There are several rules that follow which you will need to understand before choosing this option.
    4. Reject - Currently, only one editor is required to reject an image. This removes the image from my system and remembers a unique value for the image (called an MD5 hash) so if it ever shows up again it will automatically be rejected without requiring another review. Do not use this arbitrarily because an binary which is accidentally rejected can never be recovered without wiping out the entire rejection database. There are several rules that follow which you will need to understand before choosing this option.
    5. Delete - There are certain instances where a file should be deleted instead of rejecting it, I mention some below. This may remove the binary from my site, but does not put the MD5 hash into the list of rejections. That way, if the image shows up again and does not violate whatever rule caused an editor to delete it, it won't automatically be rejected and is available for review.

  2. No child pornography REJECT - This should be obvious but I still think it is important to point out that I am based in Missouri, USA. In this country I am at serious risk if I am hosting images which might be thought to be "kiddie porn". Also, I feel that it is morally and ethically wrong to force a minor to participate in such bechaviour. And I don't think they are old enough or mature enough to give their consent. So:
    1. NO NAKED CHILDREN - even babies in bathtubs if you can see their "private parts".
    2. No little boys or girls in "suggestive" poses. If you think the picture might turn on a pedophile, reject it
    3. No pictures of mom, dad and the kids at the nudist colony
    4. No "artistic" child nudity.
    5. NO NAKED CHILDREN - okay, 'nuff said

  3. Off Topic Images DELETE -
    1. You should not reject an off topic image unless it violates some other rule.
    2. If an image does not belong in the group your are editing you can delete it which will remove the link in your group.

  4. Female nudity ADULT - For the family oriented membership, I am using a rating scale kind of like the movie theatres. I do not allow images which show womens private parts in the general area.
    1. No naked breasts
    2. No pubic hair - or the same area shaved
    3. No butts with dental floss (or whatever they call that kind of underwear)
    4. None of the above visible through clothing
    5. This does NOT rule out women in lingerie, swimsuits or tight shirts and pants, it just makes editors be more selective about what they accept.

  5. No male nudity ADULT
    1. Same as for women except that in todays society, a man's chest is not considered to be a "private part".
    2. Don't try to argue this one with me, I don't care if it is fair, it is just the current version of social morality practiced in my neighborhood.
    3. No men in dental floss either

  6. No sexual poses ADULT - This one is harder to explain without being "graphic" in my description but I will try.
    1. If a picture is just of a man's or a woman's private parts, fully clothed, focused in close to the camera, it is adult.
    2. If the photographer felt it was necessary to cut the persons head out of a picture (or blur the face, block out the eyes, etc) the image is adult.
    3. If the model in the picture is facing away from the camera or wearing a mask/sunglasses to hide their face, the image is adult.
    4. If a picture is focused directly down a womans top or up her skirt, it is adult.

  7. No HATE Images ADULT

  8. No images depicting or glorifying substance abuse.
    1. No pictures of people using illegal drugs
    2. No pictures of people drinking alcohol
    3. No pictures of people smoking cigarettes (or anything else)

  9. Artistic Nudity might be acceptable ACCEPT - This doesn't mean that if you think a man or woman's body is a work of art that it can be accepted in the general area .
    1. If an image is of a piece of artwork (such as a painting or sculpture) from a recognized artist (Da Vinci, Rubins, etc) and there is nudity it is acceptable.
    2. Modern day artwork, by less recognized (or even new artists) which contain non-sexual, non-graphic nudity are acceptable.
    3. Black-and-white photos with soft lighting of nude men and women in nice non-sexual poses are still adult. The difference (I guess) is in the photographic perfection of the nudity, or maybe just the age of the technology used.

  10. Nothing that makes me nauseous ADULT - For some reason, it has become popular to post pictures that are "tasteless".
    1. No pictures of open wounds
    2. No graphic pictures of dead celebrities (really just a way of restating the above).
    3. No images of grotesque "medical conditions"
    4. Pictures of procedures, such as open-heart surgery are probably okay, but a person bleeding to death on a table is not.
    5. Just use your best judgement, or leave it to someone else

  11. No verbal obscenities ADULT
    1. If a text file contains a "four-letter" word, or a derivative of same, it is not acceptable. (You always need to read a text file before accepting it).
    2. If a filename contains the above you have 2 choices:
      1. If the image is not unacceptable you can "delete" the image. This makes it possible so that if the image comes back with an accepabtle filename, it can be reviewed
      2. If the image is unacceptable (or too close to call) and the filename is unacceptable, you should mark it adult.
    3. If an audio file has the singer, comedian, etc using a lot of "four-letter" words, it is adult. Most soundtracks of comedians fall into this category.

  12. No SPAM DELETE ONCE THEN REJECT - This is another "grey area" which is kind of difficult to describe.
    1. No Banner ads
    2. No images which are just to advertise a website and are not applicable to the group they are in
    3. No images where the URL is large and/or intrusive - in other words if you see "www.freeusenetpictures.com" in a corner, it is fine. A 5+ word commercial or putting the URL accross the main image is not acceptable.
    4. ADULT No images with URLs to ADULT sites even if the image has no nudity. If you are not sure about a site, leave it for someone else to accept (or check if you want to, I personally choose not to if I am not sure).

  13. Obscene Gestures ADULT -
    1. No pictures of people making obscene gestures at the camera (including celebrities).
    2. No pictures of people using their hands to cover their private parts.
    3. No pictures of people using their hands to "present" their private parts to the camera.
